NRS 239.0107 sets the general Nevada response framework. By the end of the fifth business day, an agency must permit inspection or copying, provide a copy, state it lacks custody, or give written notice that the record is unavailable with the earliest availability date and time. No local fee schedule was located, so ask the custodian about fees and the preferred request method. This timing rule does not require an immediate record, creation of a new record, or release of information made confidential by law.
Which Office Holds the Court File?
A jail booking entry and a court case are separate records. Contact the correct clerk for a filing, hearing, warrant, or disposition. Do not ask the court to certify a jail roster or booking photograph.

Where to Look for Other Custody Questions
- For a county booking, release, transfer, or photo request, use the sheriff contacts above and the countywide records guide.
- For a possible lower-court warrant or case question, contact Justice Court. The Sheriff's Most Wanted page explains why no verified public county warrant list is a substitute for the clerk.
- For a person serving a Nevada state-prison sentence, use the official Nevada Department of Corrections offender search.
- For federal custody, use the official Bureau of Prisons locator. For qualifying immigration custody questions, use the official ICE Online Detainee Locator.
- For immediate danger or an emergency, call 911. Do not use this site as an emergency contact channel.
